Brian Fultz – Candidate for Councilor

Brian is a 17-year Sedona homeowner but a more recent full-time resident and brings a fresh set of eyes and a fresh perspective to our community.  He has completed the Sedona Citizen’s Academy program and was recently appointed to the Sedona Community Plan Update Working Group. The spirit of his campaign is “Stong Community, Resident Focus and Local Control”.

He is an entrepreneurial-minded business owner. Brian founded and leads Peak Innovation, a management consulting company that serves mid-market and large global enterprise clients, and also co-owns four Sir Grout franchises located in Washington DC, Dallas Fort Worth, Tampa, and SW Florida. Brian is a degreed Aeronautical & Astronautical Engineer from Purdue University and earned an MBA from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business.

He is an avid outdoorsman with a passion for mountain biking, hiking, and trail running here in Red Rock Country. He is active at Aletheia Church where he volunteers and is a small group leader. Brian is married to his high school sweetheart, Amy, and she is the Executive Director at the Sedona Charter School. They have three children: a son who graduated from Georgia Tech, a daughter that is a senior at the University of Arizona (Bear Down!), and a freshman daughter at the University of Minnesota.

Brian’s key issues that he would like to address include Short-Term Rentals, Traffic, Affordable Housing and Sustainability. By addressing these areas he hopes to: foster a restored sense of community; improve resident quality of life by reducing the impact of 3.4 million tourists; support diverse housing initiatives that enable families with children, retirees and workers to remain in Sedona or call her home for the first time.
